Hey all!!! Oh boy did we have a busy week! I was sick then Everett got sick, actually he is still sick, but you would never tell because he is still my serious lovable chunky butt;)
In the meantime, I have been doing some serious brainstorming and reading for my blog. Since I am so new to this, there is lots to catch up on and know about. It is somewhat overwhelming but I am eager to learn about this business and make a career out of it. That’s right, you heard me, it can be a job in itself, and let me tell you, it is work! With that said, I joined the Style Collective team and I bought my first ticket to a blogger’s conference next month, yay! I am beyond stoked and ready to meet other blogger babes. So there is reason on why I haven’t posted…I am still thinking and wondering what my niche could be in this blogosphere, so bare with me:)
Here is a gaucho jumpsuit I wore the other day, I have to say I was pretty excited to be shooting in the them, can you tell?
Don’t mind the dog training climb behind me;)
Hi guys! Happy Friday! This week was a busy not to mention hot week! Last week my friend Hollie asked if my boys and I could help her with their annual kids camp at the Valley Nature Center in Weslaco, TX. We were glad to help as it was a very special week for kids with Autism. The VNC takes several weeks out of the Summer to host several kid's camp and this was one of them. Many of the children are sponsored by donations from our benefactors.
The VNC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide knowledge and understanding of our environment to children and adults of the Lower Rio Grande Valley. It is a unique natural community of plant, bugs, birds and animals that occupy six acres with a mile of interpretive trails. There is a recreated Tamaulipas thorn-scrub forest and it has an extensive collection of South Texas native plants. The VNC hosts many programs including kid's summer camps, school field trips, birding classes, nature park tours, wildlife art and photo displays, guided tours and more.
If you have not had an opportunity to visit VNC, anytime is a good time! It is open Tuesday-Friday from 9AM-5PM, Saturday 8AM-5PM and Sunday 1PM-5PM. The admission fee for children 12 and under is $2.00, for those over 13 it is $5.00, and for senior citizens is $3.00. The admission fee helps provide resources that are used to help keep this wonderful place running. You can find the times and admission fee here. It is the perfect spot to take your little ones, or yourself, and learn about what the VNC has to offer.
Have you already been to the VNC? If so what did you think of it? What did you like most about it? I think my favorite part is feeding the turtles and looking at the snakes. I can't wait to take Everett when he is older!
Like and check out their Facebook Page for more information! Also if you are interested in giving a monetary donation or wanting to sponsor the VNC you may contact their office at 956-969-2457.

Hi guys! Happy Friday!!! Sharing my gorgoeus embroidered button up top with you all. Lately I have been on the button up prowl since I am a nursing mama. In the past I never cared for them but now they are my best friend! Crazy how things change;) This top is from Madewell and I love that it is a crop top with pretty scruntching detailing in the back. The front has white embroidery that is just darling. It’s fresh and light, perfect for this hot humid weather. Hope you al like and let me know what you think! Have a wonderful weekend xoxo
